How to check if your Apple Remote (or any IR remote) is working with your MacTel

Easy. Just fire up Photo Booth and point your remote at the iSight camera

For some strange reason, the iSight can "see" otherwise invisible infrared and shows it on the screen.

Same deal with iChat AV preview and iMovie HD.

Have some old-style external iSights gathering dust now that Apple builds them in? Perhaps, you can put them to good use as cheap night vision security cameras when coupled with infrared flashlights

Check out what this guy did with his old iSight/iBook to get some DIY idears.

Digg it!!!
